Hi, I'm Matthias Lowry — the one-man force behind Beyond Studios, based in Burton, New Brunswick.
After spending 19+ years working in the visual effects industry in Vancouver, I decided to shift gears and build something of my own. Now, through Beyond Studios, I combine my eye for detail, storytelling instincts, and maker mindset to create unique works that span coloring books, mobile apps, cosplay props, and beyond.
Whether I'm illustrating for a fantasy-themed coloring book, designing an app to track subscriptions, or crafting a replica blaster from scratch — it's all built from the same goal: make things that look good, work well, and feel personal.
I handle every part of the creative process myself, from concept to execution — often with help from tools like AI, 3D printing, and a healthy dose of coffee. It's a studio in spirit, but proudly a solo operation.
